Lamborgini Aventador SVJ is the most iconic form of the Aventador family. Its aerodynamics represent the most futuristic ever designed: the ALA 2.0 system and aero-vectoring ensure the minimum drag on straightaways and the optimal aerodynamic load when cornering.
The 6.5-litre motor has received another round of modifications aimed at squeezing not only more power from it, but also improving torque lower down the rev range and reducing the inertia of its internals. To that end, the V12 features titanium valves for the first time, teamed with a redesigned cylinder head, intake manifold and exhaust, the latter shorter in length and exiting higher at the rear, plus a lighter flywheel. Acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.8 sec.
The core of the SVJ’s performance is the integration of its various systems under one umbrella (LDVA 2.0). Headlining here is ALA 2.0, a further evolved version of the active aerodynamics system first seen on the Huracan Performante. In simplistic terms, ALA features two slots in the nose of the car, with a further intake down the spine above the engine lid. With all these intakes closed the extended front splitter and large rear wing work as normal, increasing downforce by 40% compared to the old SV.
Unlike other Aventadors, the centre clutch disengages completely under braking to give a more natural feel, while the benefits of a more agile turn in and higher grip levels.
The ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission ensures amazingly fast and exciting gear shifts. The design goal was simple: to create an extremely fast robotized transmission, capable of generating unique driving thrills.
The 4-wheel-drive system on the Aventador SVJ is optimized to work specifically with the new active systems, in particular rear-wheel steering. This system is able to maximize performance and driving pleasure in situations with poor grip. New Aventador SVJ gives you full control thanks to the dynamic mode selector, which lets you optimize engine, transmission, drive, steering, suspensions, and stability control settings by choosing between STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO MODE.
The SVJ uses ultra-light carbon fiber for its bodywork and rigid removable roof. The body features larger air intakes and more extended side skirts, accentuated aerodynamic profiles and a lighter exhaust system mounted higher up.
