The 911 Turbo S is a classic petrol supercar that nevertheless incorporates all the latest technical advances from Porsche. The opposed twin-turbo six produces a maximum of 650 hp with the same displacement of 3.8 liters. and 800 Nm, which is 70 hp. and 50 Nm more than its predecessor. Increased performance was achieved through new, larger turbochargers with variable guide vane geometry (the right and left impellers now rotate in different directions to optimize gas exchange), a new fuel injection system and a more efficient four-port intake system. The overboost valves are now controlled by stepper motors.
The gearbox is an 8-speed PDK robot with two clutches instead of the previous 7-speed. The all-wheel drive system with an interaxle multi-plate clutch can now transmit up to 500 Nm to the front wheels. The acceleration time to 100 km/h was reduced by 0.2 s to 2.7 s, the acceleration time to 200 km/h was reduced by a second to 8.9 s, and the top speed was 320 km/h.
PASM suspension with adaptive dampers and a 10 mm lower ride height is standard. The widened track (+42 mm front, +10 mm rear) contributes to better directional stability. The front inflatable spoiler is complemented by controlled air flaps in the front bumper, and the area of the retractable rear wing has been increased.
