At the heart and center of the new Corvette Stingray is Chevrolet's latest-generation 6.2-liter LT2 Small Block V-8 engine, the only naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class. Combined with the performance exhaust system of the Z51 package and the new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, it offers a fully homologated European version with petrol particulate filter 482 hp/354 kW at 6450 and 613 Nm/452 lb-ft at 4500 rpm . maximum torque. This powertrain makes the new mid-engine Corvette the most powerful Stingray of all time. The standard sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 3.5 seconds, and the top speed is 296 km/h.
Due to the new engine location, the coupe’s appearance took on a completely different shape and, what’s most interesting, it is much narrower than the Corvette C7. There's a lot that surprises the front end, namely the new narrow LED headlights, aerodynamic hood detailing and bumper of the 2022-2023 Corvette.
On the side you can see the black lining of the massive radiator, but this is not carbon. The entire body is predominantly aluminum, with fiberglass exterior panels. There is actually carbon - a rear cross member behind the bumper of the Chevrolet Corvette C8.
The hood, trunk lid and dashboard are made of ultra-light metal, which, according to the manufacturer, does not sink in water.
The interior has a lot of new features; there are few architectural solutions of the previous generation. Naturally, the reputation is supported by high-quality upholstery materials - aluminum, thick American leather and Alcantara.
The new sports seats, combined with the headrest by side pillars, look interesting. Even the red seat belts emphasize the sporty character.
